Campbell, CA - Amateur Radio Emergency Services

Campbell ARES RACES supports the city of Campbell, CA by providing backup and emergency communications.

Our primary mission is to provide emergency backup communications between Campbell and Santa Clara County EOC and other served agencies during emergencies or incidents.

As an active member of the Santa Clara County ARES RACES organization, we provide mutual aid communications between Campbell and the County EOC through the donation of our time, expertise, and resources..

Cellular and landline telephone networks can only handle only a small fraction of their subscribers at one time. During an emergency, the crush of calls overloads these communications networks.  Campbell ARES RACES equipment is totally self-contained and operates outside of these constraints, ensuring that critical information can be passed between the City and County in the time of need.

Every Tuesday night at 7:45 pm we do a roll call (see "Radio Frequencies" to the left) to test our equipment and share news and updates. If you have a license or are curious, please join us!
